The first issue will be whether and if so when your employer will be in a position to offer you a safe place of work.
When your employer is able to offer you a safe return if you want to continue to work from home because you prefer to do so and because you managed to work well from home during lockdown it may be worth first having an informal chat with your manager.
Depending on the response you get you could look at taking matters further. Options may be to try and delay your return by raising health and safety concerns around the virus and social distancing in your place of work or in relation to transport into work or making an application for flexible working (if you have over 6 months’ service).
If working from home has worked well for you, your organisation and your clients it may be more difficult for your employer to object to any application to work flexibly in that way in the future.
